Your Daily Walk

Once you have made a personal commitment to Jesus, your want to build up that relationship by spedning time with Him in prayer and by reading the Bible. Your daily walk with God can be greatly enhanced if you pary and read your Bible regularly, preferably every day. However, many people find this difficult and don't know where to start.

Prayer

Many people can't live without their mobile phones and text their friends to keep in constant touch with them. Prayer is talking and listening to God. He loves to hear from us, even if its only a short message, like a text. Of course, if we want our relationships to grow, we can't just text people, we have to spend quality time with them. In the same way, we need to develop quality time with God, even if its only a few minutes a day to start with. If you need help on prayer, speak to a member of the church Leadership Team.

Bible Study

Some people start reading their Bibles from the beginning, but soon give up. A good way to start to read your Bible is to read a small portion every day with some accompanying notes. At the church we have copies of "The Word for Today" which are available to you free of charge.

Alternatively you can use online Bible Study sites for "The Word for Today" from UCB or RBC Ministries "Daily Bread".  Others are also available. Click on the icon to try it.    Our Daily Bread icon     Word for Today
