DIRECTIONS TO CENTRAL AVENUE CHURCH
Wigston
Wigston is located on the southern outskirts of Leicester, a city in the centre of England. Leicester is located about 90 miles North from London, 40 miles East of Birmingham, and 40 miles South of Nottingham.
By Road
At junction 21 of the M1 come off motorway and follow signs for Leicester. Immediately turn onto left hand filter signposted A563 (Ring Road). Follow road under bridge and around to the left. At the roundabout use left hand filter to get onto A563 (Ring Road).
Drive past Grove Farm shopping centre. Pass Borders Books and through traffic lights onto Soar Vally Way (A563 Ring Road). You will pass a brewery and PC World. After about a mile you come to a major junction with the A426 (Lutterworth Road). Continue straight on A563 (Glenhills Way).
Continue on Glenhills Way (A563) to major roundabout. Get in Right hand lane and take 4th exit towards Wigston (B5418 Stonesby Avenue).
Drive along B5418 past cemetery on right of road. Go over railway bridge. After a few hundred yards you will see the Nautical William Pub on the right. Just past pub is a small off licence. About 20 yards past the off licence is a small red post box on the right. Turn right onto Holmden Avenue.
Take first left turn after a couple of hundred yards onto Central Avenue. The church is half way up the road on the right just past South Avenue.
By Rail
At Leicester Railway Station, your best bet is to get a taxi from the station to Central Avenue, or you can catch the 48 Bus.
If you arrive at South Wigston Railway Station.
From Leicester.
Go up from platform and turn left.
From Birmingham.
Go up platform and turn right. Walk over bridge.
Cross Kirkdale Road and walk up Fairfield Road to Blaby Road. Turn Right. There is a taxi firm on this side of the High Street.
You can also catch the 47 Bus.

Route 47 and 48
From St Margarets Bus Station, Charles Street and Leicester Railway Station.
Also 47 (near side of road) from Blaby Road in South Wigston.
ASk for Royal British Legion (corner of Station Road and Launceston Road).
From Royal British Legion walk down to the Parish Church by a mini roundabout. Cross over onto Long Street heading towards Wigston Town centre. Take the first on the left which is Central Avenue.
National Express Coaches arrive at St Margaret's Bus Station. You can catch the 47 or 48 Bus or catch a taxi from the taci rank located there.
