Community Action

We have a diverse community both in our church and in our local area of Wigston. We believe the church should be at the heart of the community and we encourage people to get involved in community projects. In a small church, our ability to get invovled in projects is limited, but we can still make a contribution and show God's love in action.

Open Hands "Compassion in action"

This is a local charity based from Trinity Life Church in Highfields, Leicester. It collects food to provide hampers of essentials for local people in need and currently deliversover 20 such hampers a week. With our help, that can increase.

To help, we will be providing a "Tin Bin" in the church. The following items are required:

Tins

sweetcorn, kidney beans, peas, carrots, tuna, fruit, soup, stew, potatoes etc.

Non-perishables 

pasta, rice, cous-cous, cooking oil, UHT milk, tea bags (40s), coffee, cerals, chocolate biscuits, small bags of sugar
