Vision and Purpose Statement 

The purposes of the church at Central Avenue we extract from the New Testament:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind...Love your neighbour as you love yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Matt. 22:37 - 40

 "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

These principles have led to our Vision statement:

"To be used by God to build and strengthen the church and communicate His love in actions as well as words to the community of Wigston."

 We aim to do this by: 

The building and strengthening of the church

  • We believe that all we do should be built on firm foundations; understanding who God is and how He wants us to live.
  • We believe that God wants to use everyone and that He has a plan for each of us.
  • We believe that God wants to bring people who have never been to church before into Central Avenue Christian Church.
  • We believe God wants us to work closely with other churches in the area who share our vision.

 Communicating God’s love in actions and words

  •  We believe that God wants to meet the needs of people in the community.
  •  We believe that God meets people where they are.
  •  We believe that God accepts people for who they are.
  •  We believe that God wants us to share our lives with others.
