Visitors are always welcome

If you would like to come and visit us, you could drop in to our free Coffee Bar which runs every Friday between 10.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. We also run various social events which are advertised on the website and people are always welcome to attend. Alternatively, you can pop into the church when one of the Leadership Team is present or even join us for our Sunday Service.

When to arrive

If you are coming to a Sunday Service for the first time we suggest you come between 10.00 a.m and 10.30 a.m. There is free parking at the church but also some space on Central Avenue itself. If you do park on the road though, please be mindful of our neighbours!

Coffee and tea are served as required in our roadside Coffee Bar before and after the service. There will always be someone around to greet you and answer questions.

What to expect

The church hall

This is a small growing church where it is easy to make friends. People often chat and have a drink before the service starts, though songs are often sung before worship begins (at 10.30 a.m. approx.).

Our worship service is a combination of traditional hymns and modern songs always played in a lively style. The service includes the normal notices and songs but also a time of praying for each other, a children's talk and short talk about something relevant, inspiring and uplifting from the Bible.

The main element of the service is Communion. The Lord's Table is open to everyone who loves the Lord Jesus. You do not have to be a member of the church to join with us as we share at it.

We are not too formal but stress the need for the Word from the Bible (especially the New Testament) and Sacraments (Weekly Communion and Believer's Baptism).  We use a modern translation of the Bible (the NIV) so its easier to understand.

Both young and old and all abilities are welcome and we do our best to accomodate everyones needs and incorporate everyone whatever their ability. Because there are a lot of people with disabilities and other life issues our services are more flexible than some churches. There is always a lot of laughter in our church and we do not take ourselves too seriously!

The Triangle Group Sketch

(The Triangle Group perform an Easter morning sketch. The Roman Centurian questions the guards "Just what happened at the tomb?")

If you are looking for a large highly structured church then this is not the place for you.

What to wear

This is easy. Just wear whatever you feel comfortable in there is no need to dress up.

What we believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is the centre of all life and that His church should be a centre  for the community.  We work with other churches and the local community and are involved with work among people with disabilities.  We choose to take the name Christian and not any other denominational name.

For those with children

We love to have children in the services and try to include them where possible, having a children's talk and they often help to take the collection. Our young population varies greatly from week to week, but we operate a Creche/Sunday Club as needed. We operate a Child Protection policy under the guidance of the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) to which we belong.

For those with disabilities

All our facilities have easy access.  We have a good audio system and adequate parking so you don't have to go far from your car if you have mobility issues(even an overflow car park). We run the "Triangle Group", the only Causeway Prospects group in Leicestershire for people with learning disablities.

Need help?

If you have any special need or would like to discuss a wedding, infant dedication, baptism, or funeral then please contact one of our Ministers who will arrange to talk with you in the church office.  Or you can just drop in when the poster outside the church says that a Pastor is in the building.
